- Support individuals in money management, shopping, meal planning, and basic household tasks
- Assist clients in building community awareness, including using transportation, attending appointments, and navigating public spaces
- Encourage problem-solving, decision-making, and self-advocacy
- Promote independence by guiding clients step-by-step rather than doing tasks for them
- Support individuals in social skills, communication, and appropriate community behavior
- Provide coaching during community outings and home-based skill-building sessions
- Track progress, collect basic data, and complete session notes/documentation
- Collaborate with families, service coordinators, and team members to support client goals
- Ensure client safety, professionalism, and respectful support at all times

- Experience in teaching life skills, coaching, mentoring, education, caregiving, or social services is a plus
- Comfortable supporting individuals with mild intellectual disabilities who have strong potential for independence
- Familiarity with life skills training, behavior support strategies, or person-centered coaching is helpful
- Strong communication skills, patience, and professionalism required
- Basic documentation and phone/computer skills required
- Knowledge of the Sacramento area preferred
