Imboden Creek Senior Living and Rehabilitation is seeking a dependable and motivated Maintenance Assistant to join our team this summer. Located in Decatur, Illinois, our skilled nursing community provides short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and respite services in a warm, welcoming environment where residents and staff feel supported every day.
As the summer season brings new opportunities and fresh energy to our facility, we are looking for someone who takes pride in keeping buildings and grounds safe, clean, and well-maintained. This position plays an important role in supporting resident comfort, safety, and the overall appearance of our community.

Assist with routine and preventative maintenance throughout the facility

Complete painting, drywall repair, and general building upkeep

Help troubleshoot and repair equipment and facility systems

Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of the building and grounds

Assist with outdoor upkeep and seasonal projects during the summer months

Support inspections and preventative maintenance services for facility systems

Respond to maintenance requests from staff and assist departmental needs

Participate in on-call rotation for maintenance support as needed

Previous maintenance or general repair experience preferred

Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, and drywall repair

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Dependable, organized, and team-oriented attitude

Ability to work in a healthcare environment with residents, staff, and visitors

Must pass background check and drug screening
