Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual and transmissions across designated local routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety standards and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Manage route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while maintaining fuel efficiency and safety protocols.
- Verify shipment documentation, inspect freight for damages or discrepancies, and ensure accurate delivery records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or any unforeseen delays or issues.
- Maintain compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies throughout every shift.
Experience
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with proven experience operating tractor-trailers in a local setting.
- Hands-on experience with manual transmission trucks preferred for precise control during delivery routes.
- Prior delivery driver experience involving freight handling, load & unload procedures, and route driving.
- Familiarity with operating various truck types including Flatbeds and Dump trucks Preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts or similar equipment for freight loading/unloading is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of safety standards related to commercial driving and freight transportation.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
