Kid's Place Learning Center cares for children 6 weeks through 10 years of age. We seek a passionate and dedicated UPK Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves implementing engaging lesson plans that promote literacy, math skills, and overall development. As you will be working with young children, you may also need to assist in providing personal care, such as toilet learning.
Responsibilities
- Implement age-appropriate lesson plans from Creative Curriculum that align with early childhood education standards.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to support each child's growth and development.
- Manage classroom activities, ensuring a safe and organized space for all students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience within the private school setting.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and developmental milestones.
- Attend staff development training and maintain all requirements of the Office of Children and Family Services.
Skills
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Background in daycare or early childhood education settings
- Proven ability in lesson planning that promotes active learning.
- Effective classroom management techniques to maintain a productive learning environment.
- Experience working with diverse student populations to foster an inclusive atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Possess a bachelor's Degree in Education or NYS Certification In Early Childhood Education (birth to Grade 2)
- Possess an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education
- Actively enrolled in classes leading to a degree in Early Childhood Education.
- Be available to work Monday through Friday.

- Program is closed on Federal Holidays, we are open during school breaks
