Job Duties and Responsibilities

Prepares examination rooms, ensuring they are clean, stocked, and ready for patient visits.

Greets patients warmly, escorts them to exam rooms, and prepares them for their appointment.

Takes and records vital signs accurately, identifying and reporting any abnormal findings to the provider.

Performs phlebotomy skillfully, ensuring patient comfort and proper specimen collection and labeling.

Documents all patient interactions and clinical data in the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

Administers medications as directed by the provider, following all safety protocols and observing patients for adverse reactions.

Performs Electrocardiography (EKG), obtaining clear and diagnostic readings for physician review.

Applies strict infection control protocols, maintaining a sterile environment and preventing the spread of pathogens.

Utilizes sterile technique during procedures, preparing instruments and assisting providers as needed.

Provides clear and comprehensive patient education on diagnoses, treatments, and medication instructions, reinforcing provider guidance.

Ensures strict HIPAA compliance in all aspects of patient care, safeguarding patient privacy and confidentiality.

Collects and processes specimens (e.g., urine, throat swabs) accurately, preparing them for laboratory analysis.

Assists providers during examinations and minor surgical procedures.

Manages patient flow, schedules appointments, and coordinates referrals as necessary.

Required Qualifications
Education

Possesses a high school diploma or equivalent.
