Job Summary
The AI & Data Specialist partners with every department across the organization to identify opportunities where AI, automation, and data analytics can improve business operations. This role serves as the bridge between business challenges and technology solutions, designing scalable processes that increase efficiency, streamline workflows, and provide meaningful insights through data.
The ideal candidate is naturally curious, analytical, and highly collaborative, with the ability to understand business needs, translate them into practical AI-driven solutions, and measure the impact of those initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Bridge Business Needs & Technology
- Partner with leaders across Sales, Operations, Purchasing, Finance, Customer Success, Marketing, Quality, and Manufacturing to understand operational challenges.
- Translate business requirements into automated reporting and workflow solutions.
- Serve as an internal consultant helping departments leverage emerging technologies to improve performance.
AI & Process Automation
- Identify repetitive or manual processes that can be streamlined.
- Evaluate new AI platforms and tools to determine organizational value and practical applications.
- Implement AI-powered solutions within ERP and CRM platforms to automate workflows and streamline customer and operational processes.
- Develop reporting and dashboards leveraging ERP and CRM data to provide actionable insights for leadership.
- Lead cross-functional improvement initiatives from concept through implementation.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting systems.
- Develop internal AI best practices and governance standards.
Technology Evaluation & Solution Design
- Assess software, AI applications, and digital tools to determine business fit.
- Balance usability, cost, scalability, security, and long-term organizational value when recommending solutions.
- Analyze trends to identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and revenue growth.
- Develop proof-of-concept (PoC) projects to validate new technologies before implementation.
Training & Adoption
- Educate employees on AI capabilities and best practices.
- Develop documentation, SOPs, and training materials for new systems.
- Promote adoption by ensuring solutions are practical, user-friendly, and aligned with departmental needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–5 years of experience in business analytics, process improvement, automation, AI, or technology implementation.
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Excel, SQL, Power Automate, Power Apps, or similar business intelligence tools preferred.
- Familiarity with generative AI platforms (ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Gemini, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Project management experience is a plus.
