This is currently a 30-hour-per-week PART-TIME position, giving you a consistent schedule of three 10-hour shifts, Monday–Wednesday.
There is potential for the position to return to 40 hours per week in the future based on business and production needs. However, the current schedule is 30 hours per week.
We're looking for candidates with previous mill, sawmill, lumber, or industrial production experience who are comfortable with physically demanding work and working around lumber and production equipment.

SWING SHIFT
The position may return to 40 hours per week in the future

At this time, the position is 30 hours per week
Pull green lumber from the sawmill and move it efficiently
Work on the green chain production line
Sort and handle green lumber
Identify flaws and defects in lumber
Trim flaws or adjust lumber grades as directed
Help maximize lumber yield
Ensure lumber meets company grade and quality standards
Determine appropriate cuts based on supervisor instructions
Remove unsatisfactory pieces from conveyors or tables
Place lumber into stacks, bins, or carts
Maintain production speed and quality
Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
Keep work areas clean and organized
Work safely around moving conveyors and mill equipment
Previous mill or industrial production experience preferred
Green chain experience preferred
Lumber grading experience a plus
Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, pull, and move green lumber
Ability to work a physically demanding job
Ability to learn company-specific lumber grades
Ability to read safety rules, procedures, and instructions
Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions
Strong attention to detail
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong safety awareness
Must follow all PPE and safety requirements
Must pass pre-employment drug screen
Must be authorized to work in the United States
