EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position provides clerical and administrative support for the review and processing of licensure applications handled by the Department of State. Your work helps ensure licensing decisions follow all laws, regulations, and board procedures. As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will perform the following duties:

Application Evaluation: Examine applications to assess eligibility for initial licensure, renewal, and reactivation

Data Accuracy Checks: Review information and required documents to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance

Inspection Coordination: Determine when inspections are required, request them through the database, and review returned inspection reports

Record Verification: Research licensure histories and prepare certifications, letters of good standing, and related documentation

Communication Support: Respond to phone calls and written inquiries while providing clear licensure information to applicants and the public

Processing Activities: Enter application data, track status updates, and finalize license issuance when all requirements are met

Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Work schedule may be negotiable.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 50% upon successful completion of the 6-month probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
