Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating and programming CNC machinery, including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and related equipment. This role involves interpreting mechanical blueprints, setting up and maintaining precision machining processes, and ensuring high-quality production standards. The CNC Machinist will play a vital role in fabricating components with accuracy and efficiency, contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing operations.
Duties
- Operate a variety of CNC equipment such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and stamping presses to produce precision parts.
- Program CNC machines using CAM programming and Fanuc controls to meet specifications.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, GD&T standards, and technical drawings to set up machining processes.
- Conduct tooling setup, changeovers, and adjustments to optimize machine performance.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on industrial equipment including press brake machines and welding tools.
- Use precision measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other gauges to verify part dimensions and ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety standards in production and following proper safety protocols.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to improve machining processes and product quality.
- Handle materials safely within the warehouse or fabrication areas, including materials handling and packaging of finished products.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production activities and inspection reports.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, press brake machines, and CAM programming tools.
- Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), SolidWorks, CAD software, and blueprint reading skills.
- Mechanical knowledge related to industrial equipment troubleshooting, tooling setup, fabrication processes, welding, assembly line operations, and materials handling.
- Familiarity with GD&T principles, precision measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers), safety standards in manufacturing environments, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Experience working in manufacturing facilities or factory environments with an understanding of quality control procedures.
- Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints accurately and perform precision machining tasks with attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills related to industrial equipment troubleshooting and process optimization.
- Prior warehouse or fabrication experience is preferred but not mandatory; a strong work ethic and commitment to safety are essential.
