We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to join our growing team in Tyler, Texas.
This is a unique opportunity to work alongside our Medical Director while helping build one of East Texas' premier centers for Spravato®, IV Ketamine Therapy, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), and outpatient psychiatric care.

Position Summary
The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will serve as a key clinical provider responsible for delivering high-quality psychiatric care while helping expand Cereva Health's interventional psychiatry program.
Initially, this provider will focus on:
- Psychiatric evaluations
- Medication management
- Spravato evaluations and treatment oversight
- TMS evaluations and ongoing management
- Collaborative care planning
- Patient education
- Working closely with referring providers
As the practice continues to grow, the provider will have the opportunity to help shape clinical protocols, expand services, and contribute to the long-term development of Cereva Health.
Responsibilities
Clinical Care
- Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations
- Diagnose and treat common psychiatric disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide ongoing medication management
- Monitor treatment outcomes
- Document accurately within the EMR
Interventional Psychiatry
Participate in:
- Spravato patient evaluations
- Spravato treatment oversight
- TMS candidate evaluations
- TMS treatment planning
- Follow-up assessments
- IV Ketamine collaborative care
Prior TMS or Spravato experience is welcomed but not required. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
Community Collaboration

We partner with primary care physicians, therapists, psychologists, and psychiatrists throughout East Texas.
We are looking for someone who values building relationships—not competing for patients.
Ideal candidates understand how to support referring providers while ensuring patients receive the appropriate level of interventional care before transitioning back to their ongoing mental health provider whenever appropriate. This collaborative referral model was a key part of Dr. Cox's vision discussed during the strategy session.

Qualifications
Required:
- Active Texas PMHNP License
- DEA Registration (or ability to obtain)
- Board Certified PMHNP
- Strong psychiatric assessment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
- Experience in outpatient psychiatry
- Spravato experience
- Ketamine experience
- TMS experience
- Behavioral health leadership experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Schedule
Full-Time
Typical responsibilities include:
- Clinical patient care
- Medication management
- Spravato supervision
- TMS evaluations
- Administrative documentation
- Provider outreach
- Referral relationship development
- Community education
The role may also include limited telepsychiatry for appropriate follow-up visits, providing flexibility for both patients and the provider.
