Job Title: Finance Generalist

Reports to: Accounting Managers
Performs daily income audit functions for the Resort by reviewing, reconciling, and validating revenue activity across lodging, food and beverage, retail, waterpark, ski, adventure activities, and other resort operations. Ensures all revenue is accurately posted, supported, taxed, balanced, and reported in accordance with Camelback Resort and Peregrine policies and procedures. Research and documents variances, cash discrepancies, refunds, discounts, voids, paid outs, and system interface issues while supporting timely daily reporting and communication with Finance leadership and operating departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily income audit procedures by reconciling room revenue, resort fees, activity revenue, food and beverage revenue, retail sales, parking, lockers, cabanas, ski lift tickets, rentals, lessons, waterpark admissions, zipline/adventure activities, and other resort revenue streams to PMS, POS, ticketing, and payment systems.
- Review daily audit packs for accuracy and completeness, including cashier reports, revenue summaries, settlement reports, folios, paid-outs, refunds, chargebacks, comps, discounts, and voids.
- Investigate and document revenue variances, missing checks, out-of-balances, incomplete postings, interface errors, and discrepancies between operating systems and the general ledger.
- Verify proper posting and taxation of packages, deposits, advance payments, group charges, season passes, activity bundles, waterpark tickets, ski products, and third-party sales channels.
- Prepare daily revenue reports and distribute audit findings to Finance leadership and applicable operating departments for timely correction and follow-up.
- Assist with monthly food and beverage inventory counts, including coordinating count schedules, collecting count sheets, reviewing extensions, and validating inventory totals for restaurants, bars, banquet areas, kitchens, outlets, and storerooms.
- Reconcile month-end food and beverage inventory results to supporting documentation and prior-period balances, research unusual variances and communicate discrepancies to Finance leadership and applicable department managers.
- Prepare month-end journal entry support for review, including accruals, reclasses, inventory adjustments, cost of sales entries, revenue corrections, and other routine accounting entries as assigned.
- Maintain organized month-end workpapers, supporting schedules, and backup documentation to support financial statement close, department review, and audit requests.
- Conduct self in a professional manner always to reflect the high standards of Peregrine.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by Finance leadership.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (Required)
- Completed college coursework or higher education (Preferred)
- Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
- Must have a commitment to follow all local and corporate policies and procedures as they relate to this position.
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written communication skills to facilitate resolutions to queries and discrepancies across departments
- Strong computer skills. High proficiency in MS Excel
- Minimum of 1 year financial experience in hotels/resorts/hospitality business.
- Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive, highly confidential guests and employee matters with utmost professionalism, tact, and sound judgment.
