A great UHY client is seeking a Financial Analyst. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and Excel skills, 2+ years of relevant experience and manufacturing/distribution experience.
The Financial Analyst role is an onsite position. This is a direct hire position.
Financial Analyst Responsibilities
- Analyze supply chain costs, including procurement, transportation, warehousing, and inventory holding costs.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for supply chain operations.
- Track and report key performance indicators, including inventory turnover, cost per unit, and service levels.
- Support month-end and quarter-end financial reporting activities.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements.
- Partner with Procurement, Logistics, Operations, and other teams to align financial and operational goals.
- Prepare financial models, variance analyses, and management reports.
- Maintain and update financial and operational databases.
- Assist with pricing analysis and supplier cost evaluations.
- Analyze inventory and logistics data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Support financial planning and decision-making through accurate and timely analysis.
- Develop and maintain reporting and data visualization tools as needed.
Financial Analyst Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field.
- Two-plus years of relevant financial analysis, supply chain, accounting, or related experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and basic financial modeling.
- Knowledge of financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
- Basic understanding of supply chain processes and financial principles.
- Understanding of inventory management and logistics concepts.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
