Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Fertilizer Applicator Technician, where you will play a vital role in supporting our team in the lawn and plant management field. This position involves operating specialized machinery and power tools to accurately apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments to enhance lawn and plant health. Must be a certified applicator by the state. We have winter work available as well!
Duties.
- Conduct pre-application inspections of equipment to ensure safety and proper functioning.
- Follow detailed application instructions to ensure accurate dosage and coverage
- Maintain records of application activities, including quantities used, locations treated, and timing.
- Assist with pest control measures and lawn care treatments to promote healthy plant growth.
- Drive company vehicles safely between job sites while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery to maximize operational efficiency.
Skills
- MUST BE A MDARD CERTIFIED APPLICATOR
- Valid driver's license and your own reliable transportation
- Experience with land management equipment such as sprayers, spreaders, and other farm machinery.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to operate vehicles confidently and responsibly for transportation across various terrains.
- Excellent attention to detail for precise application of fertilizers and chemicals.
- Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and work collaboratively with team members.
- Physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
