Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and detail-oriented Staff Pharmacist to join our professional team. In this role, you will review and verify medication orders, ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, collaborate with healthcare providers, and help deliver safe, accurate, and timely pharmaceutical care to residents of long-term care facilities.
Previous long-term care pharmacy experience is welcomed but not required. Candidates with retail, hospital, or community pharmacy experience who are interested in expanding their careers are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Review and verify physician medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure the safe and accurate dispensing of prescription medications.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Monitor medication therapies and maintain complete, accurate patient records.
- Ensure compliance with Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy regulations, HIPAA, and company policies.
- Utilize pharmacy management software to document patient information and medication records.
- Support pharmacy technicians and contribute to a positive, collaborative workplace culture.
- Maintain medication inventory and assist with quality assurance initiatives.
Qualifications
- Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist license in good standing.
- Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
