About the role
We are looking for an experienced CNC Stone Operator (Granite & Quartz Countertops) to join our granite and quartz countertop fabrication shop in Milford, DE. This role is responsible for operating CNC stone fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and machine granite, quartz, quartzite, marble, and porcelain according to shop drawings and production schedules, while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Operate CNC stone fabrication equipment to machine countertop components according to CAD drawings, cut sheets, and production schedules.
- Set up tooling, verify machine programs, and ensure accurate production before starting each job.
- Inspect finished pieces to verify dimensions, edge profiles, sink cutouts, and overall quality.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain production quality and efficiency.
- Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
- Identify tooling, machine, or material issues and communicate them promptly to the Production Lead.
- Follow all shop safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and safe material handling.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Assist the fabrication team with moving slabs and other shop tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Experience operating CNC stone fabrication equipment is required.
- Experience with granite, quartz, quartzite, marble, and porcelain fabrication.
- Ability to read CAD drawings, cut sheets, and shop drawings.
- Experience setting up tooling and verifying CNC programs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality work.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
Schedule & Location
- Full time position based in Milford, DE.
- Day shift, with occasional overtime depending on workload.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
