To deliver safe, enjoyable, and effective swim practices that align with the standards established by the Aquatics Director. Prioritize correct stroke technique and nurture a passion for swimming. Represent the Swim Team in a manner that is dependable, professional, and supportive.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Place student safety and enjoyment as your top priority.

Consistently coach all scheduled practices and swim meets with minimal changes or interruptions.

Arrive before practice to set up and remain afterward to engage with participants and/or their parents.

Inspire students to feel confident and encourage their involvement in swim competitions.

Show warmth and genuine interest: make eye contact, smile, and use each student’s name.

Assist in guiding, mentoring, and training assistant coaches.

Help manage swim team operations, including recruitment and communication with swimmers and parents, under the Head Swim Coach’s direction.

Build and strengthen relationships with both familiar and new members to increase the value of their membership and foster their sense of belonging and community within the club.

Understand and follow all club and aquatics department rules and policies.

Ensure all life-saving equipment is accessible and know how to use it correctly.

Obtain and maintain required Swim Coach certifications—USA Coaching certification, CPR, AED, and First Aid—and participate in ongoing professional education.

Comply with all Club Standards, Policies, and Procedures.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head Swim Team Coach.
