About This Role
This faith-based, licensed center is seeking an assistant teacher for its Toddler-2's classroom.
Be prepared to engage and interact with children, actively participating with children on many levels, as you assist the Lead Teacher in this dynamic role.
What You'll Do

Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, maintenance, and availability of classroom materials.

Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to child care center.

Follow all center policies and state regulations.

Assist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation by children, in play based learning centers.
- Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.

Requirements

Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
- Must be able and willing to take frequent walks, engage in outdoor activity, use hands, fingers and handle objects, to talk clearly and hear voices at different levels.

High school diploma or gereater.

Must be able to kneel, bend, squat in the classroom and playground environment.

An understanding of child development.

Ability to work well with others.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience working in a licensed child care center

Vision ability will include seeing up close and distances, and to have peripheral vision and depth perception.

Nice To Haves
-
ECD 101 and additional Early Care and Education course work.

Associates degree or higher in Early Care and Education or a related field.

Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.

1 year or more of experience working in a licensed child care center.
