Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Shift Lead to oversee daily operations at our busy pizza shop. As a Shift Lead, you will be responsible for supervising staff, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety, managing inventory, and ensuring excellent customer service. Duties
- Lead and motivate team members during your shift to deliver exceptional service and maintain high standards of food quality and safety
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and adherence to recipes and safety protocols
- Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation
- Control inventory levels by monitoring stock, placing orders, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability
- Supervise shift operations including staff scheduling, training new team members, and conducting performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and health codes across all areas of the restaurant
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and foster a welcoming atmosphere for all guests
Qualifications
- Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with a strong background in food preparation and kitchen operations
- Demonstrated leadership skills with previous supervising or management experience in hospitality or restaurant settings
- Familiarity with POS systems; cash handling experience required
- Knowledge of inventory control, food safety management, and food handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train staff effectively and manage team dynamics
- Basic math skills for order accuracy, cash reconciliation, and profit analysis
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience in casual dining or pizza shop operations is highly desirable
