MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN – DIRECT HIRE
Location: Lima, Ohio
Pay: $24.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on experience and shift
Schedule: 2-2-3 schedule
Day Shift: 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
Night Shift: 7:30 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
Overtime availability required
Seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician for a direct-hire opportunity with a high-volume manufacturing facility in Lima, Ohio. This is a clean, climate-controlled production environment utilizing conveyors, robotics, molding machinery, and automated equipment.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Industrial maintenance experience in a high-volume production facility
- Hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting conveyor systems
- Experience with robotics or automated manufacturing equipment
- Plastics, food, or beverage manufacturing experience
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting and repair capabilities
- Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Knowledge of industrial maintenance safety
- Ability to work a 2-2-3, 12-hour day or night schedule and overtime as needed
RESPONSIBILITIES
Equipment Installation and Preventive Maintenance
- Set up proprietary manufacturing equipment.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance to maintain equipment reliability and extend machinery lifespan.
- Adjust machinery to improve performance and accommodate production requirements.
- Inspect mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, conveyor, robotic, and automated systems.
- Document maintenance activity and labor hours accurately in MP2.
Predictive Maintenance
- Use condition-monitoring practices and diagnostic tools to identify potential equipment problems before they cause downtime.
- Assess equipment health and recommend or perform corrective maintenance.
- Support efforts to maximize equipment reliability and production uptime.
Troubleshooting and Repair
- Diagnose mechanical and technical problems affecting molding and production equipment.
- Identify root causes using systematic troubleshooting methods.
- Repair equipment independently or in collaboration with technical specialists.
- Respond quickly to breakdowns and restore equipment functionality while minimizing production interruptions.
Facility Maintenance
- Assist with general facility maintenance beyond production equipment.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
- Collaborate with the facilities and production teams to resolve maintenance concerns.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two-year technical degree or equivalent industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Ability to perform workplace measurements and maintenance-related calculations.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, accountability, and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to participate in employer-sponsored Amatrol Online Skills Training.
- Candidates must meet U.S.-person requirements and be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
