Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring optimal patient care. You will work in a fast-paced environment, primarily within a hospital setting, where your skills in IV infusion, medication administration, and aseptic technique will be essential.
Duties
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Perform IV infusion preparation and administration under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles to ensure proper medication management.
- Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding patient care.
- Follow aseptic techniques to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations.
- Provide support in critical care settings, ensuring timely delivery of medications to patients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the pharmacy workspace.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician
- Familiarity with IV infusion processes and medication administration protocols.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards of patient care.
- Good communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals.
