Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food handling and preparation meets health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus and create innovative dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring food supplies and placing orders as needed.
- Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
- Adapt recipes for dietary restrictions or special requests from guests.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or fine dining environment.
- Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and culinary arts.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate clearly with kitchen staff.
- Creativity in menu planning and presentation of dishes.
- Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities is a plus but not required.
