Job Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for safely delivering goods / boxes to customers using a van/ minivan, ensuring timely and accurate service. Duties
- Safely operate a vehicle to deliver goods across designated routes, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Load, unload, and secure cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while following safe lifting practices.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.
- Verify delivery details, obtain signatures, and complete delivery documentation accurately using mobile devices or electronic systems.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging professionally with clients during deliveries, addressing questions, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, route logs, and inventory movements to support warehouse operations.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as moving goods within the facility, operating material handling equipment, and supporting inventory management as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous delivery driver experience preferred, especially with driver roles involving route driving and load & unload responsibilities.
- Warehouse experience is a plus, including manual handling, moving heavy items, and operating material handling equipment like pallet jacks.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; no CDL required but experience with commercial driving is advantageous.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely while following OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines for weight handling in the workplace.
- Strong knowledge of traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations applicable to commercial vehicle operation.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude during interactions with clients.
- Comfortable working with mobile devices for route navigation and delivery documentation.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting boxes and packages repeatedly throughout the day.
