Wound Care / Treatment Nurse (LPN or RN)
We are currently accepting applications for an RN Supervisor within our long-term care and rehab facility specializing in geriatrics. Qualifications

LPN licensed in the State of Alabama

Previous Treatment/ Wound Care Experience preferred but wiling to train and certify- facility will cover cost

Wound Care Certified a Plus
Essential Job Functions

Responsible for the assessment and follow-up of each resident's need for and result of treatments in a designated area of the facility.

Communicate with the other Licensed Staff of the facility in assessing needs and results of staff action to assure residents do not decrease their functional abilities such as: obtain skin breakdown, contractures, weight loss, skin tears and so forth while in the facility.

Provides treatment of ostomies, stomas, acute and chronic wounds, and urinary and fecal incontinence breakdowns.

Be a team player whom works with other teams to assure treatments are coordinated with other events of the day; Assists the Nursing Department to assure residents care plans are followed; Documents on records as per policy and procedures of the facility; Participates in staff meetings and in-services as required. And provide a multidisciplinary approach to treatment to assure continuum of care.
