Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Administrator to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Manage and process payroll using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or other supported payroll platforms
- Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies during payroll processing
- Reconcile payroll data with general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for accurate financial reporting
- Maintain employee records related to compensation, benefits, time & attendance, and tax documentation
- Handle payroll tax calculations, filings, and reporting in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements
- Support benefits administration including enrollments, changes, and inquiries from employees
- Collaborate with HRIS teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll data across human resources systems and software such as QuickBooks or other accounting tools
Skills
- Extensive experience with payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, PeopleSoft or Ceridian
- Strong knowledge of employment & labor law, tax law, and payroll tax regulations
- Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel), accounting software (QuickBooks), and financial concepts related to payroll management
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Excellent analysis skills for account reconciliation and data entry accuracy
- Familiarity with time & attendance systems and HRIS platforms for seamless data integration
- Solid understanding of double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, debits & credits for accurate financial recordkeeping
