Role Summary
The Manager, Digital Commerce leads strategy and execution across Amazon, retailer.com, retail media, owned digital experiences, and Digital Commerce analytics to drive revenue, brand growth, and consumer engagement. This role leads a team of Digital Commerce experts and manages agency partners supporting paid digital activation and other initiatives.
As the organization’s Digital Commerce leader, this role shapes strategy, capabilities, investments, and ways of working while partnering across Brand, Commercial, Finance, Creative, IT, Analytics, and Supply Chain. Success requires strong Digital Commerce expertise, commercial acumen, data-driven decision-making, people leadership, and cross-functional influence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Digital Commerce strategy and capabilities across Amazon, retailer.com, retail media, and owned digital channels, ensuring priorities and investments align with brand and business objectives.
- Drive Amazon strategy and performance across multiple CPG brands, including growth plans, profitability, assortment, promotions, advertising, investment priorities, and marketplace protection.
- Shape owned digital and DTC strategy, partnering with Brand teams to establish website priorities, evaluate DTC opportunities, and advance user experience, SEO, site performance, analytics, and conversion.
- Lead retailer.com and retail media strategy, aligning customer and brand priorities and guiding investment decisions based on performance, opportunity, and expected business impact.
- Establish Digital Commerce measurement and performance management, including KPIs, reporting standards, cross-channel performance reviews, and capabilities related to profitability, attribution, conversion, and marketing effectiveness.
- Build organizational capabilities by identifying needs across technology, data, partners, talent, and processes and bringing emerging trends and best practices into business planning.
- Lead and develop a high-performing Digital Commerce team, setting clear priorities and accountability while empowering subject matter experts to independently lead their areas.
- Manage agency and strategic partner relationships, ensuring alignment, execution quality, optimization, and measurable performance.
- Drive cross-functional alignment across Brand, Commercial, Finance, Creative, IT, Analytics, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders to clarify ownership, resolve barriers, and advance Digital Commerce priorities.
- Support budget and investment planning, using business performance, financial insights, and emerging opportunities to recommend priorities and tradeoffs.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, eCommerce, Digital Marketing, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in Digital Commerce, eCommerce, Digital Marketing, or related disciplines, including people leadership.
- Broad experience across Amazon, retailer.com/retail media, owned digital experiences, digital marketing, and performance measurement.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and managing agency or strategic partner relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to use data and financial insights to shape strategy, prioritize investments, and drive business performance.
