About the Role
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Coordinator should embody ASAS’s core values; accountable, collaborative, transparent, proactive, and entrepreneurial. This position requires flexibility to travel within the Chicago area, excellent relationship-building and collaboration skills, superb organizational skills and attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, and a commitment to the mission of ASAS. The Program Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring high quality program delivery, strong school partnerships, and sustained funding for chapter programs. The Program Coordinator will help to support direct and coordinated school sites, and work with the Out-of-School Time team at Chicago Public Schools.
Core Role Responsibilities
· Support tasks related to Chicago Public Schools (CPS) Out-of-School Time (OST) team, including coordination, reporting, and communication needs.
· Complete regular program site visits across chapter locations to monitor and sustain high-quality programming.
· Assist in planning and facilitating site visits with external stakeholders, funders, and partners.
· Sustain effective program planning throughout the year, including tracking programmatic requirements, timelines, and staff/site training plans.
· Provide administrative support with designated school partners for the facilitation of enrichment programs at designated school sites.
· Serve as a liaison between the chapter and school partners, ensuring clear communication and strong working relationships.
· Assist in gathering program data, outcomes, and documentation needed for funder reports and proposals.
· Support the Executive Director with planning and execution of special events, field trips, and other chapter initiatives.
· Provide general administrative support as needed.
Required Skills:
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Approachable style and ability to effectively and professionally interface with high level executives, clients, school administration, employees and business associates both internal and external
- Strong organizational and time management skills. Proven experience in multi-tasking and working with multiple people and priorities, while delivering high quality results and follow through
- Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner
- Excellent critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Ability to travel locally between program sites on a regular basis.
Education
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Experience
· 2+ years in an administrative role in a non-profit organization required.
Pay: $21.00 - $24.04 per hour
