About the Role
We’re hiring a hands‑on Telemarketing Team Manager & Appointment Closer to lead a small team that cold‑calls small B2B and books next‑day appointments for our outside sales reps across the nation. You won’t be dialing out yourself; instead, you’ll receive live passed calls from your telemarketing team, close the appointment, and make sure every visit is set up correctly for our field reps.
What You’ll Do
- Lead a small telemarketing team calling targeted lists of potential customers from our leads database.
- Take live passed calls from your team and act as the primary closer, confirming interest, solidifying the appointment, and capturing all key details.
- Schedule and structure next‑day appointments for our outside sales reps so they arrive with clear expectations, accurate contact info, and a qualified prospect.
- Manage daily attendance, adherence to schedules, and performance expectations for your telemarketing team.
- Track and report key metrics (calls made, passes, appointments set, show rates, and closes) to the Marketing Manager.
- Coach team members on script usage, tone, objection handling, and how to identify strong prospects before passing calls to you.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years in outbound telemarketing, inside sales, or call‑center sales, ideally in appointment‑setting environments.
- Experience closing over the phone and turning “warm” passed calls into firm, qualified appointments for outside reps.
- Prior experience leading or mentoring a small team (attendance, performance check‑ins, basic coaching) is strongly preferred. Experience in hiring and terminating, when necessary.
- Reliable transportation, not public transit.
- Strong phone presence and communication skills: you can quickly build trust, control the call, and lock in a time and commitment.
- Highly organized and detail‑oriented so appointments are accurately set up in our systems every time.
- Comfortable reporting to a Marketing Manager and owner (when necessary) while acting as the on‑site leader for your office’s telemarketing team.
