Job Summary
Established AV-rated Fort Lauderdale firm seeks a litigation attorney with 3–6 years to join our growing municipal defense practice with meaningful and substantive civil litigation experience, including independent responsibility for motion practice and discovery. This position offers immediate litigation responsibility, direct client interaction, courtroom experience, and long-term professional growth within a collaborative mid-sized firm.
The ideal candidate has experience in one or more of the following areas:
· Municipal and governmental liability defense including experience with sovereign immunity issues
· Insurance defense
· Civil rights litigation (Section 1983)
· Contract disputes
· Property and land use litigation
· Foreclosures
· Risk Protection Orders
Responsibilities include:
· Managing civil litigation matters from inception through trial
· Demonstrated experience drafting substantive pleadings, dispositive motions, and legal memoranda
· Conducting written discovery
· Taking and defending depositions
· Appearing at hearings and mediations
· Communicating directly with clients
· Assisting with trial preparation and trial
Qualifications
· Active member of The Florida Bar
· 3-6 years of substantive civil litigation experience
· Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
· Experience independently managing litigation matters and meeting deadlines
· Professional judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to exceptional client service
Experience representing governmental entities is preferred but not required.

Pay: $125,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
