Taylor | Serbin Injury Lawyers
Charlotte, North Carolina
thelitigator.com
We're Not Looking for a Resume. We're Looking for a Future Trial Lawyer.
At Taylor | Serbin Injury Lawyers, we help people rebuild their lives after serious injuries. We provide honest answers, steady guidance, and strong results. Every case is handled with compassion, preparation, and conviction because we understand that our clients are trusting us during one of the most difficult times of their lives.
If that mission speaks to you, we'd like to meet you.
Whether you're a recently admitted North Carolina attorney or an attorney looking to transition from another area of practice, this is a unique opportunity to learn plaintiff's personal injury law from experienced trial attorneys who are committed to teaching, mentoring, and helping you build a long-term career.
This isn't a position where you'll spend years reviewing documents or drafting motions in the background. From the beginning, you'll work directly with clients, participate in case strategy, gain courtroom experience as your skills develop, and learn every stage of a personal injury case—from intake through settlement or trial.
Our goal isn't simply to hire an associate.
Our goal is to develop an exceptional plaintiff's trial lawyer.
What You'll Do
Working alongside experienced attorneys, you'll gain practical experience in every aspect of representing injured clients, including:
- Meeting with clients and evaluating cases
- Investigating liability and damages
- Developing litigation strategy
- Working with medical providers and expert witnesses
- Negotiating with insurance companies
- Drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Taking and defending depositions
- Preparing for mediation
- Preparing cases for trial
- Appearing in court as your experience grows
- Managing cases from intake through resolution
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will:
- Be admitted to practice law in North Carolina.
- Be a recently admitted attorney or an attorney interested in transitioning into plaintiff's personal injury practice.
- Possess strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Enjoy working directly with clients and guiding them through difficult circumstances.
- Be dependable, organized, and accountable.
- Be humble enough to accept coaching and driven enough to continually improve.
- Believe that preparation, persistence, and hard work produce outstanding results.
Prior personal injury experience is not required. We care far more about your character, work ethic, curiosity, and commitment to becoming an outstanding advocate than whether you've already practiced in this area.
