Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
- Lead, motivate, and supervise retail sales teams to achieve sales goals and deliver excellent customer service.
- Manage inventory control, including stock replenishment, ordering, purchasing, and merchandising to maximize sales opportunities.
- Handle cash register operations, cashiering duties, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system management with accuracy.
- Support hiring processes by participating in interviewing candidates and conducting employee orientation and training sessions.
- Maintain store appearance through effective merchandising, stocking, pricing strategies, and visual displays.
- Oversee operational tasks such as payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within the retail industry.
- Strong leadership skills with previous supervising or team management experience.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
- Proficiency in retail math, inventory management, POS systems, and cash handling procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to manage store operations including purchasing, pricing, merchandising, and inventory control.
- Experience with recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, training & development programs.
- Organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of wireless sales or grocery store experience is advantageous but not required.
