asphalt.
REQUIRED SKILLS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Requires 5-7 years of work experience in the operation of Class A or B equipment and 1-2 years’
experience as a lead worker or supervisor, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Graduation from a recognized motor equipment operator apprenticeship program may substitute for
up to one year of experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
An acceptable general background check to include a local and state criminal history check, and a valid
driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
Must obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) permit prior to employment and complete the
practical portion of the CDL test within 60 days of employment.
Position requires satisfactory results from a medical and audio evaluation and pre-employment
substance abuse testing and is subject to random alcohol and controlled substance testing.
Requires Flagging Certification within 6 months of employment.
The job is considered Essential Personnel and will be required to work during and following natural
disasters and emergency situations and requires the ability to work on a rotating standby schedule.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Tasks require the regular and, at times, sustained performance of moderately physically demanding
work.
