About the Position
Unloc Gardens is seeking two (2) dependable and motivated Cultivation Technicians to join our cultivation team in Inkster, Michigan.
Cultivation Technicians play an important hands-on role in maintaining the health, quality, and consistency of cannabis plants throughout the immature, vegetative, and flowering stages of production.
This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in a cultivation environment, takes pride in attention to detail, can follow established procedures, and understands that cleanliness, consistency, teamwork, and regulatory compliance are essential to a successful cannabis operation.
What You'll Do
As a Cultivation Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Care for cannabis plants throughout the immature, vegetative, and flowering stages.
- Perform plant-care activities including pruning, transplanting, up-potting, watering, feeding, and general plant maintenance.
- Follow cultivation practices and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) established by the Head of Cultivation.
- Monitor plant health and identify signs of pests, disease, nutrient deficiencies, environmental stress, or other concerns.
- Maintain accurate plant inventory, including strain names, plant counts, tag numbers, and other required tracking information.
- Assist with irrigation, feeding schedules, and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) activities as directed.
- Follow all required procedures for the safe handling and application of pesticides and biological controls.
- Wear and properly use the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and cultivation-room sanitation.
- Regularly clean and sanitize tools, equipment, work surfaces, and cultivation areas.
- Record cultivation activities and other required information accurately and in a timely manner.
- Immediately report and address concerns involving plants, equipment, cultivation rooms, or environmental conditions.
- Break down, clean, sanitize, and reset production areas following harvests.
- Prepare cultivation areas for incoming crops and transplanting activities.
- Assist with mother plant maintenance as directed by the Head of Cultivation.
- Assist with internal inspections, inventory reviews, compliance audits, and regulatory inspections when necessary.
- Follow all applicable Michigan cannabis regulations, METRC requirements, company policies, safety procedures, and cultivation SOPs.
- Perform other cultivation-related duties as assigned.

- Committed to maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe, and compliant workplace.
- Able to learn and properly follow METRC and other regulatory tracking requirements applicable to the position.
Previous cannabis cultivation, horticulture, agriculture, greenhouse, or plant-care experience is helpful, but candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements
This is an active, hands-on cultivation position. Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Frequently bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, and performing repetitive movements.
- Using hands and arms for detailed plant-care and cultivation tasks.
- Safely lifting, carrying, pushing, or moving materials and equipment commonly used within a cultivation facility.
- Working in indoor cultivation and greenhouse environments where temperature, humidity, lighting, odors, and environmental conditions may vary.
- Wearing required PPE and following sanitation, biosecurity, and safety procedures.
Compensation
Starting pay: $17.00 per hour
Compensation may be adjusted based on experience, performance, business needs, or other lawful considerations.

This position works on-site at Unloc Gardens in Inkster, Michigan. Unloc Gardens management is responsible for the employee's day-to-day supervision, work assignments, scheduling, cultivation procedures, performance expectations, and operational direction.
