Job Summary:
The Maintenance Coordinator will perform tasks such as repairs, maintenance and upkeep of the facilities . The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are functional.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete work-orders in an effective and timely manner
- Standard handyman work including: appliance repair & troubleshooting, painting, plumbing, light electric, light carpentry, & patching drywall.
- Porter/Grounds keeping work during downtime.
- Perform fixes such as repairing broken locks, windows, flooring etc.
- Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
- Install appliances and equipment
- Exterior preventative maintenance
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation)
- Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm)
- Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations
- Report to a facilities or maintenance manager for issues
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with plumbing, painting, hardware installation, trouble shooting & repairs, electric, and other general maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
- Experience using hand and electrical tools
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills
- Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of an apprenticeship preferred
- Experience and solid in repairs knowledge
