Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and reliable bilingual Dental Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our dentists to provide top-tier clinical and administrative support. The ideal candidate thrives in a team environment, is detail-oriented, and is committed to making every patient's visit smooth and anxiety-free.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Welcome patients, review and update medical histories, and ensure they feel comfortable and informed before, during, and after procedures.
- Chairside Assistance: Support the dentist during various procedures (e.g., fillings, crowns, extractions) by anticipating their needs, passing instruments, and utilizing suction hoses.
- Sterilization & Safety: Prepare and sanitize treatment rooms. Clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental tools and equipment following strict OSHA and infection-control protocols.
- Radiography & Lab Tasks: Take and process high-quality digital dental X-rays. Take and pour dental impressions and scan patient's for dental lab cases.
- Patient Education: Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene, brushing/flossing techniques, and post-operative care instructions.
- Administrative Duties: Schedule appointments, update patient charts, handle patient billing/insurance inquiries, and manage inventory of dental supplies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 1-2 years of clinical dental assisting experience (Preferred but not required)
- Skills: Bilingual (English & Spanish), Fast Paced, Reliable, Team Player
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
