Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest quality of food handling
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Utilize knife skills for precise food preparation and presentation
- Participate in catering events as required, ensuring all meals meet quality expectations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the food industry
- Strong culinary skills with a focus on cooking techniques and meal preparation
- Experience in fine dining or catering is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a positive attitude towards collaboration
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus
- Familiarity with menu planning and serving techniques is advantageous
