Duties
- Perform professional barbering services including haircuts, shaves, beard trims, and hair styling tailored to each client’s preferences.
- Utilize advanced techniques such as straight razor shaves, hair extensions, and eyelash extensions to enhance client satisfaction.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations and salon protocols.
- Manage appointments efficiently using salon software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms; handle walk-ins with a friendly attitude.
- Offer expert advice on hair color theory, product recommendations, retail sales, and upselling additional services like makeup application or nail care.
- Provide exceptional customer service by listening carefully to client needs, communicating clearly, and ensuring a positive experience from start to finish.
- Mentor junior team members when needed and contribute to store management tasks such as inventory control and retail math calculations.
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license required; proven experience in professional barbering is essential.
- Proficiency with salon software systems like MINDBODY or similar scheduling tools.
- Skilled in various hair styling techniques including hair threading, coloring, and makeup application.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards, store management practices, and retail sales strategies.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients and team members effectively.
- Experience with retail math for upselling products such as hair extensions or skincare items is a plus.
