Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Handle laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens, towels, and uniforms efficiently
- Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines and environmental services protocols
- Ensure all cleaning tools and supplies are stored properly and maintained in good condition
- Conduct routine inspections to identify areas needing additional attention or repair, ensuring a consistently high level of cleanliness
- Follow proper procedures for waste disposal and chemical handling to promote safety and environmental sustainability
- Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleans as scheduled or requested by management
Skills
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in healthcare, hospitality, or commercial settings
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to cleaning chemicals and equipment use
- Strong understanding of sanitation practices and environmental services protocols
- Experience with floor care techniques including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning
- Ability to operate commercial cleaning equipment safely and effectively
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and report maintenance issues promptly
