Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Residential HVAC Installation Technician with 3+ years of residential installation experience. The ideal candidate can install complete residential HVAC systems with minimal supervision, fabricate sheet metal, maintain a clean and organized job site, and provide an exceptional customer experience.
While this position is primarily focused on installations, there will be opportunities to assist with maintenance, IAQ upgrades, equipment startups, and light service work as the company continues to grow.
This position has a clear path toward becoming a Lead Installer.
Responsibilities
- Install residential furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, evaporator coils, and complete HVAC systems.
- Fabricate and modify sheet metal, plenums, transitions, and ductwork.
- Install refrigerant line sets, condensate drains, gas piping, venting, thermostats, and electrical connections.
- Perform equipment startups and commissioning.
- Verify airflow, refrigerant charge, gas pressure, and overall system performance.
- Complete installations that meet manufacturer specifications and local code requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners throughout the installation process.
- Properly document completed work and communicate with the office regarding job progress.
- Assist with IAQ products, maintenance, and occasional light service work when needed.
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 3 years of residential HVAC installation experience.
- EPA Universal Certification.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to install residential HVAC systems with minimal supervision.
- Experience fabricating sheet metal.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds and work in attics, crawl spaces, and rooftops.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Professional appearance and communication skills.
Preferred
- 5+ years of residential HVAC experience.
- NATE Certification.
- Heat pump installation experience.
- Mini-split installation experience.
- Basic service and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with IAQ products such as humidifiers, media filters, UV lights, and air purification systems.
