PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Elementary Emergent Bilingual Clerk will serve the campus principal and staff to ensure all forms and other pertinent paperwork pertaining to Bilingual/ESL students and the LPAC process is
completed and filed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
TEA certification requirements High School Graduate or GED
One year experience in computer data base, spreadsheet, work processing and keyboarding preferred
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Facilitate in the reviewing, updating, and maintaining accurate LPAC files of all current EBs and monitored students.
- Responsible for the timely submission and filing of all LPAC documents.
- Collaborates with PEIMS Clerk to assure accurate coding of Bilingual/ESL students.
- Data enter and maintain LPAC information on District Student Data Base.
- Meet all deadlines for data entry.
- Assist in obtaining the following EB information from other school districts and campuses:
- Test results
- LPAC information: Identification and Placement, Assessment Decisions and Annual Reviews.
- Reclassification status
- Monitored Student Information
- Meet with LPAC Administration and members regularly to provide them with LPAC documentation needed for identification placement, assessment decisions and annual reviews.
- Assist in providing EB student information to Campus Administration and District Bilingual/ESL Department.
- Assures and follows confidentiality laws and procedures.
- Attends regularly scheduled meetings with the Bilingual/ESL Department for guidance, procedures and networking.
- Performs all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or to others.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
