Our Line Cooks play a critical role in delivering exceptional food and ensuring every guest receives a consistently outstanding dining experience.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, presentation standards, and quality expectations.
- Set up and stock workstations with all necessary ingredients and supplies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines.
- Properly label, date, rotate, and store food products.
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and portion consistency.
- Communicate effectively with chefs and fellow kitchen team members during service.
- Assist with prep work, receiving deliveries, and inventory as needed.
- Clean kitchen equipment and complete opening, closing, and side work duties.
- Work efficiently during high volume meal periods while maintaining attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Previous line cook, prep cook, or restaurant kitchen experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume environment.
- Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Ability to follow recipes and standardized procedures.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Culinary training is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and work safely around hot equipment and sharp tools.
- Ability to work in varying kitchen temperatures.
