Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Call Taker to join our Dial-A-Ride Operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming calls related to Dial-A-Ride and ADA transportation inquiries. This role requires effective communication skills, a strong understanding of transportation management systems, and the ability to analyze information quickly to provide accurate responses. The Call Taker will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within our Dial-A-Ride operations.
Responsibilities
· Answer all incoming phone calls promptly.
· Handle all aspects of DAR scheduling, appointments, cancellations and changes.
· Assist passengers with schedule information and other requested information
· Run medical reports.
· Enter trips sent over by GATRA Medical Transportation.
· Research routes to see if any drivers are available for 10-3’s.
· Reroute passenger pick-ups off of driver’s manifests.
· Retrieve voice mail messages and respond in a timely manner.
· Use radios to answer driver questions, assist with directions etc.
· Print and compile manifests (if needed).
· Process No Show letters.
· GEO code trip locations.
· Record mileage, statistics and hours from manifests.
· Resolve customer complaints through the established complaint process.

· Office clerical skills, filing, etc.
· Ability to read schedules and maps and provides information orally and in writing.
· Ability to multi task
· Knowledge of GATRA Bus routes and service areas preferred
· Computer applications, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook
