Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive and heavy equipment repair, with experience in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues.
This role requires a hands-on approach to maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring that all vehicles and equipment operate efficiently and safely.
Winter hours Oct-March 40+
April-Sept hours and days are flexible: 16-40 hours per week (you decide)

Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of vehicles and heavy equipment
- Repair or replace components - knowledge in brake work, U-joints, ball joints, king pins
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for assembly and repair tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on vehicles and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing heavy lifting and operating machinery.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems.
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience with a focus on automotive repair or heavy equipment operation.
- Experience in fabrication and assembly of mechanical components is preferred.
- Familiarity with diesel engine repair, brake repair, shocks & struts, tire service, and electrical systems is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail.

Pay: From $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
