JOB TITLE: Journeyman Roofer
Reports To: President / Owner
SUMMARY:
This position is primarily responsible for installing new roof system for residential or commercial properties from start to completion by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Interact with homeowners/tenants.
ATTENDANCE:
Must be punctual and timely in meeting all requirements of performance, including, but not limited to, attendance standards and work deadlines; beginning and ending assignments on time; and scheduled work breaks; where applicable.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises I to 5 employees in the Roofing Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 3 to 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
OTHER SKILL, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have knowledge of roofing terms, experience of 4 years minimum roofing on all types of roofing.
Ability to use power tools, saw, drill etc.
Must be able to read job sheets and comprehend basic instructions.
Able to be certified installers for manufacturing products as required per company request.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. Must be comfortable on roofs and using ladders. The employee must regularly lift and /or move more than 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
