What You'll Do Classroom Instruction
- Teach engaging Driver Education classes to teen students.
- Explain traffic laws, safe driving practices, and responsible decision-making.
- Create a positive, interactive, and supportive learning environment.
- Build student confidence through effective teaching and coaching techniques.
- Deliver Illinois state-approved curriculum and instructional standards.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Valid driver's license with at least two (2) years of driving experience with clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Substitute Teaching License or Professional Educator License (PEL).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for teaching, coaching, mentoring, and helping students succeed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Driver Education Instructor certification.
- Previous teaching, coaching, mentoring, or training experience.
- Previous behind-the-wheel instruction experience.
- Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
