ANNUAL SALARY RANGE: $59,379.00 - 86,161.00 (Salaries are paid biweekly)
ANNUAL ANTICIPATED HIRING RANGE: This is a step level position. The salary for the selected candidate will fall within the range above based on certifications and experience.

Job Summary
Do you have maintenance and repair experience with a wide variety of vehicles? Automobiles, heavy-duty, turf utility vehicles, etc.? The City of Fort Collins Fleet team is looking for a Fleet Maintenance Technician to support keeping our equipment and vehicles in good working condition so that they are safe and reliable. Responsibilities will include the maintenance and repair of all types of equipment including turf, light duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty units.
This position will mainly focus on Turf and small equipment including commercial mowers, utility carts, ATVs, and small plows.
Work hours for this Fleet Maintenance Technician are Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Uniforms, safety shoes, and safety equipment are provided. CDL training and licensing is provided if needed. Please see below for the required licenses and certifications. Compensation for this role is based on a step-level pay structure. Employee placement within this position's eight-step levels is determined by demonstrated competencies (knowledge and skills) and earning-related A.S.E. certifications in light or heavy-duty vehicles and other associated certifications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties and responsibilities are illustrative of the primary functions of this position and are not intended to be all inclusive.
Diagnoses, repairs, and maintains all types of heavy and/or light duty equipment.
Performs both routine maintenance of vehicles and major repairs.
Prepare new vehicles for service including order specifications, installing components or special equipment.
Provides customer service such as on-site service, after hours service, and special departmental requests for service.
Provides information for bid specifications and job estimates.
Researches part information, processes orders.
May perform required annual tests on vehicles/mechanical equipment and prepare the appropriate documentation.
Maintains or updates information on warranty repairs

Knowledge of emissions testing requirements and processes.
Ability to weld using different types of welders.
Knowledge of basic math.
Ability to utilize Fleet Maintenance Software, Fleet Diagnostic and Repair Software, and Word Processing Software
Good customer service skills.
Required Qualifications
Minimum Preferred
High School Diploma or GED and or functionally related licenses or certificates
Experience Requirements
Three or more years of auto mechanical repair experience, or a combination of auto mechanical repair experience and vocational/ technical training in equipment and vehicle repairs and/ or electrical and mechanical systems.
Certifications/Licenses/Specialized Training

Valid Regular Driver's License

Valid Commercial Driver's License - Class B with P2 endorsement
