Insight New York is a New York–based fashion company serving the updated missy contemporary market with European trends, with wardrobe-enhancing pieces each season. The brand began by perfecting the fit of pants using high-quality poly, rayon, and Lycra fabrics for a successful in-stock pant program. Building on that success, Insight New York expanded into novelty and career jackets, tops, and skirts, focusing on fresh colors, innovative fabrics, and updated styling. The company now sells to more than 1,200 better specialty stores and catalogs across the United States and Canada, consistently delivering collections that excite customers and drive repeat purchases.
The Sales Director is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, responsible for leading and executing Insight New York’s wholesale sales strategy across North America. This role oversees key specialty store and catalog accounts, manages the sales pipeline, and drives revenue growth through new account development and deeper penetration of existing customers. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting sales targets, analyzing sell-through data, planning seasonal assortments, and collaborating closely with design, production, and merchandising to align collections with market demand. The Sales Director will lead, coach, and develop a sales team, ensure consistent customer service standards, and regularly visit accounts, trade shows, and market appointments to strengthen relationships and gather market feedback. The role also includes forecasting, reporting on sales performance to leadership, and identifying new business opportunities in line with the company’s brand and profit goals.
