Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver
Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver to provide safe and timely transportation services for patients requiring non-emergency medical appointments. This role involves operating various types of vehicles, ,to assist clients with mobility needs. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, strong customer service abilities, and a commitment to safety and vehicle maintenance.
Responsibilities-Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver
- Safely operate vehicles to transport patients to medical appointments, dialysis centers, or other destinations.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring comfort and safety at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle, including routine inspections and reporting any issues.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe transportation.
- Communicate effectively with clients, healthcare facilities, and dispatchers to coordinate schedules and address any concerns.
- Handle heavy lifting when assisting passengers with mobility devices or luggage as needed.
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, and vehicle condition in compliance with company standards.
Skills-NEMT DRIVER
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) or school bus driver certification is a plus.
- Strong driving skills with experience in paratransit or heavy lifting tasks.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with clients and team members.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to ensure safety and reliability of transportation equipment.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a high level of customer service.
