Job Summary

Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques.
- Use chemical agents safely and effectively for cleaning, disinfecting, and floor care tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
- Operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers, polishers, carpet cleaners, and other custodial equipment with precision.
- Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of supplies or equipment while following proper ergonomic practices.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals like floor cleaning chemicals and ensure proper storage.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client requests or concerns related to cleanliness or facility maintenance.
- Follow environmental services standards by using eco-friendly products whenever possible and disposing of waste responsibly.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a commercial setting is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to handle various cleaning equipment including floor scrubbers, buffers, and carpet cleaners.
- Knowledge of chemical agent handling procedures for safe use of cleaning chemicals and floor care products.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Excellent customer service skills with a proactive attitude toward addressing client needs in a professional manner.
