Labette Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. Emergency nurses are at the forefront of patient care, providing rapid assessment, critical thinking, and lifesaving interventions for patients of all ages and conditions.

What You'll Do
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Department
- Provide care for patients with a wide range of illnesses, injuries, and emergencies
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to physician orders and established protocols
- Monitor patient conditions and respond quickly to changes in status
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, EMS personnel, and interdisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Support a culture of patient safety, quality care, and teamwork
What We're Looking For
- Current Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification required
- ACLS, PALS, and TNCC preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous emergency nursing experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and prioritization skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
