Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Pizza Cook to join our kitchen team. The Pizza Cook will be responsible for preparing high-quality pizzas according to our recipes and customer specifications, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, and ensuring food safety standards are met. The ideal candidate has previous cooking experience, a passion for food, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, stretch, and hand-toss pizza dough to desired size and thickness.
- Apply sauces, cheeses, and toppings according to recipes or customer requests.
- Cook pizzas using ovens, ensuring proper cooking time and temperature for consistency and quality.
- Monitor food stock levels, assist with inventory management, and notify management of supply needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Follow all food safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with prep work for other menu items when needed.
- Provide input on new menu items, specials, or improvements to recipes.
- Work as part of the kitchen team to ensure timely service.
Qualifications:
- Previous 2 years experience as a cook, line cook, or pizza maker REQUIRED.
- Knowledge of pizza preparation, dough handling, and oven operation a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders at once.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a hot kitchen environment.
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
